European Biologist Title
Article 1
1. The European Biologist (EurBiol) professional title is owned by ECBA. EurBiol is a trademark owned by ECBA.
2. The European Biologist title may be awarded to a biologist who is a full member of one of the Full or Associate Member national biologists associations in ECBA; has satisfied the entry requirements in force at the time of his/her application; has paid the required fees; has agreed to abide by the European Biologist code of conduct and ethics.

ECBA needs to adapt to a changing environment; it will do so by creating a vision of how it sees Biology in Europe, its mission and role(s) and its forward action plans.
Declaration subscribing biologists agree to abide by the European Professional Biologist Code of Conduct and ethics that, in order to serve European society and to promote its values, they shall:
CODE
1. conduct myself honourably so as to uphold the dignity and reputation of the biological profession;
2. keep my knowledge up to date, so that I am competent to practise as a professional biologist
3. apply the highest scientific principles to my professional activities, and take into account the long term effect of those activities on the environment;
4. value and respect all living organisms and systems
